Associate Professor Dr. Ahmad Lutfi Amri Ramli

Associate Professor Dr. Ahmad Lutfi Amri Ramli is the Dean of the School of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. He obtained his PhD from Durham University, an MSc in Computational Mathematics with Modelling from Brunel University, and a BSc in Mathematics from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Throughout his academic career, he has contributed extensively to teaching, research, academic leadership, and curriculum development in the mathematical sciences.

His research interests are centred on applied mathematics, particularly computer-aided geometric design (CAGD), curves and surfaces, surface reconstruction, robot motion planning, and gamification. His work focuses on developing mathematical and computational methods with applications in robotics, geometric modelling, computer graphics, and mathematics education.

In addition to his research activities, Dr. Ahmad Lutfi actively engages in STEM education initiatives, community outreach programmes, and collaborations with industry and schools. Through his academic leadership and scholarly contributions, he continues to advance the role of mathematical sciences in addressing real-world challenges and nurturing future generations of mathematicians and innovators.
